Exciting Beachbody news seems to be coming in on a daily basis. There are all kinds of new and exciting things in the works for Beachbody Coaches and customers. The Les Mills Pump workout video will be the next workout program to be released by Beachbody. Beachbody has partnered up with the people behind the very popular Less Mills Body Pump workout classes and they have decided to put out a Les Mills workout video program.

I have not heard of the Les Mills’ workouts until now, but apparently it is a very popular program that is done throughout the entire world. Les Mills’ workouts are made up of 8 different group workout classes. Les Mills’ classes are currently in over 14,000 gyms, in over 75 countries, and done by 6 million of people every week.

As a Beachbody Coach this is great news. The Les Mills Pump workout video will be another great product I can market to my customers. While I am sure doing the Les Mills’ workout in a group is fun and exciting, there are a lot of people who want to save time by working out in the comfort of their own home and on their own schedule. Generally, even with a short commute, you are adding a minimum of 30 minutes a day in round trip travel time to the gym. If you workout 4-5 times a week, the travel time adds up to be hours. Time is valuable and we should try to minimize as much wasted time as possible, it adds up. So working out as home is not only convenient, but is also the more practical option.

Beachbody Reaches 2 Billion Dollars In Sales

$2B Announcement From Carl Daikeler

The CEO of Beachbody, Carl Daikeler announced some great news about an accomplishment the company has on his facebook wall yesterday. Since taking its first order back in 1999, Beachbody has officially crossed over $2 billion dollars in sales. This is a great accomplishment and is a milestone only the very top direct selling companies reach. I wish I had the yearly numbers and a chart to show how the sales numbers increase year after year. But I was unable to find that information.

It won’t be long before Beachbody is a billion dollar a year company. Their business opportunity, which is made up of a network of distributors called Beachbody Coaches, is still only available in the U.S. and plans to go international are on the horizon. As a Beachbody Coach myself, this is all great news. The business opportunity is still ground floor and their is plenty of room for growth. It won’t be long until Beachbody is rubbing elbows with some of the other international top direct selling companies like Avon, Amway, Vorwerk, Herbalife, and Mary Kay. all which do easily over a billion dollar a year in sales. It is great to be involved with such a great company. I’ve been a distributor with the company for 2.5 years and even in that short time I’ve been able to witness great changes they have made, and new tools and training they have provided to help all distributors grow their business. With new and exciting product launches on the horizon, and plans to expand into other countries, I’m sure Beachbody will eventually reach their goal of having 1 million Beachbody Coaches. This number may sound high, but when you compare it to a company like Avon, which as of Feb 2010, had 5.8 million active sales representatives worldwide in more than 100 different countries, you can see how reaching 1 million Coaches is a realistic goal which I am certain will not only be reached but surpassed.

Beachbody is a great company with great products. Customers who use and love the products are encouraged to sign up as Coaches, and they can earn some income recommending Beachbody products to their friends. It makes sense, most customers are already talking to their friends about the products anyhow.

Beachbody Has New Products In Development

Because I am a Beachbody Coach I constantly want to stay up to date on any Beachbody news that comes out. I’m “friends” with the CEO of Beachbody, Carl Daikeler, on facebook, and I follow him on twitter. Carl is always posting company news on both mediums, facebook and twitter. Recently Carl tweeted something about new products Beachbody was working on. I can’t remember exactly what he said, I when I tried to look it up so I could quote him exactly, I couldn’t find it. I’m sure it is out there somewhere in internet land, but after looking for 5 minutes I gave up. Looking for something for over 5 minutes on the internet is getting into some deep research and because I remember the jist of the tweet, the exact words are not too important.

The CEO of Beachbody, Carl Daikeler, said in a recent tweet, that 8 new products were in development and set to be released in the next few years. Again, don’t quote me on that, the exact number he said might be a little different, and the release dates are never set in stone, but either way, this is very exciting news for Beachbody customers and Beachbody Coaches.

For customers who love Beachbody’s workout programs, it is great to know that new workout programs are in the works. It is always great to be able to switch up your workouts, which makes them more fun and keeps the results coming.

The announcement of new products in development is especially great for Beachbody Coaches for several reasons. New products means a wider market to be able to connect with and make sales to. For example, one of the new products set to be released sometime in 2012 is a Tai Chi workout that is targeted at seniors. So now, as a Beachbody Coach, when I come across someone who is a little bit older, but sill looking to improve their health and fitness, I can recommend the Tai Chi program to them. An intense workout like P90x or Insanity is most likely too tough for someone in their 60′s or 70′s, but Tai Chi would be perfect for them.

Another reason new product launches are great for Beachbody Coaches is that because we already have a customer base, we have someone to market these products too. When you reach a certain level as a Beachbody Coach, Beachbody gives their distributors (Coaches) free customers. And anytime these customers buy something, the Coach gets credit and earns a commission.

Let’s take the recent launch of P90x2 for example. As at least an Emerald Coach for the past 2 years, I’ve been having customers constantly placed into my business through Beachbody’s customer lead generation program. These are customers that have called in and order a product through the infomercial. Many of the customer I received were people who called in and ordered P90x. While I don’t make a commission of the original phone sale, I am able to make a commission if they decide to later buy the P90x recovery drink, P90x protein bars, or any other Beachbody product. And these are the perfect leads for P90x2 orders. All I have to do is send out an email to my customers letting them know that P90x2 is now available, and when they order I make a commission. The chances are very high that they had great results with P90x and will want to order the sequel.

So as you can see, having an existing customer base, which Beachbody helped me build, can be a great asset anytime Beachbody launches a new product. So the news of 8 new products in development is awesome news.

Beachbody Inducted Into Better Business Bureau Hall Of Fame

"Beachbody Customer Service, How Can I Help You?"

It is great to be a Beachbody Coach and be part of such an amazing company. Recently I made a post about Beachbody having an A+ Better Business Bureau (BBB) rating, now I am proud to announce that Beachbody has been officially inducted into the Better Business Bureau Hall Of Fame.

Beachbody was able to receive this recognition of excellence and great customer service by maintaining a record of having no outstanding complaints for 3 years prior to May 2011. Great job Beachbody corporate and your great customer service team. From my own experience, I’ve had nothing but extremely pleasant experiences when calling Coach Relations and customer service, which is rare these days. Customer service is a department that can easily be outsource to third party company to save a few bucks, which is why many big companies do it, but the quality suffers. It is great to see Beachbody running their own customer service department with smart, knowledgeable, and genuine people.

Keep up the great work Beachbody!

Tropical Is New Shakeology Flavor

The Team Beachbody Coach Summit is taking place this weekend and they are making a handful of big announcements. Just minutes ago it was announced that Tropical will be the new Shakeology flavor released soon. It is an island-tastic combo of berries, pineapple, and papaya. Sounds like it would be delicious on a hot sunny day, such as today.

If you’re not familiar with Shakeology, it currently comes in Chocolate and Greenberry flavors. Tropical will be a nice change of pace for those of us who have been drinking strictly Chocolate over the past 2 years. This new Shakeology flavor release is a big deal because of the challenges Beachbody faces when trying to create a flavor. Beachbody keeps all of the ingredients truly natural and healthy for our bodies, which is very hard to do, and still make taste good.

A while back, Beachbody tried to come up with a Vanilla flavored Shakeology. They worked hard on it but were unable to produce it in line with the high standards that Beachbody has and the high quality they promise to their customers. Beachbody Wins Direct Sellers Association (DSA) Rising Star Award

Beachbody Wins "Rising Star" Award!

I’ve been saying it for awhile now, Beachbody is a sleeping giant when it comes to the home based business industry. They are doing everything right and are set to explode in growth. In the 2 years I’ve been a Beachbody Coach I’ve seen the business opportunity develop and grow. The Beachbody executives are always coming out with new marketing tools, products, training, and anything they can think of to help the distributors(Coaches) succeed in growing their business.

When I first joined as a Beachbody Coach, Shakeology had not even been released yet. In only 2 years Shakeology has become the #3 revenue generator behind P90x, and Insanity. With no infomercials or advertising for Shakeology, being the #3 product says a lot. Being a consumable product, Shakeology will for sure be the #1 revenue generator for Beachbody sometime in the future.

People are starting to take notice at what Beachbody is doing. Recently, yesterday I received a tweet from Beachbody CEO Carl Daikeler, that read:

Just found out that Team Beachbody won the DSA’s “Rising Star Award”. I guess we’re on the radar now

That is great news and some serious recognition! If you don’t know what the DSA is, this is from their website (www.DSA.org) and explains their purpose, :

“The Direct Selling Association (DSA) is the national trade association of the leading firms that manufacture and distribute goods and services sold directly to consumers. Approximately 200 companies are members of the association, including many well-known brand names.

The Association’s mission is “To protect, serve and promote the effectiveness of member companies and the independent business people they represent. To ensure that the marketing by member companies of products and/or the direct sales opportunity is conducted with the highest level of business ethics and service to consumers.”

The cornerstone of the Association’s commitment to ethical business practices and consumer service is its Code of Ethics. Every member company pledges to abide by the Code’s standards and procedures as a condition of admission and continuing membership in the Association.”

As a Beachbody Coach, it is great to know that Beachbody is a member of the DSA, and now to know that they have won the Rising Star Award. I have not officially seen anything else that confirms this award, but since Carl Daikleler tweeted it, I’m sure he knows what he is talking about. I’m guessing that the award has not been officially given out yet, but the DSA probably notified Carl that Beachbody had won. Either way, this is great news and I’m happy to be part of such a great company!

“The members of the Direct Selling Association pride themselves in their commitment to the highest standards in business ethics,” said DSA’s President Neil Offen. “By applying for membership in the association and going through a rigorous approval process, these companies are saying they take their ethical obligations to their field salesforce and to the ultimate customer seriously and are willing to make a public pledge to that effect.”

Similar to the path of a new recruit, young companies must be nurtured and mentored in order to be successful. It is important to begin the journey to greatness with a solid foundation and strong principles that will serve as the building blocks of success. While these young companies may not have unique programs in place that rise to the level of those recognized by other awards, many smaller companies have great stories to tell and they should be told. With this in mind, the Rising Star Award is designed to recognize up-and-coming direct selling companies that have dedicated themselves to achieving a high standard of excellence in business operations.

Who is eligible to enter:
Direct selling member companies

Criteria:

Companies must have been an active DSA member for at least one year.
Companies must have begun direct selling operations less than five years ago.
Companies must illustrate a commitment to the tenets of the DSA Code of Ethics.
Companies must illustrate a consistent and continued pattern of growth.
Companies must demonstrate a well-rounded business strategy including projections for growth in sales, salesforce and tangential activities such as charitable giving.

Past winners of the DSA Rising Star Award were Scentsy in 2009, and Rodan+Fields in 2010.

Tony Horton Promotes P90x On NBC’s Today Show

Great News! More free publicity for Beachbody, Beachbody Coaches, and Beachbody’s products.

Don’t say we didn’t warn ya! This Monday, April 18th, the man behind the muscle—Tony Horton—will be the featured guest on NBC’s Today Show.

We know it’s ridiculously early for some, but tune in at 4:00 AM PT / 7:00 AM ET and catch Tony on the last hour of the show.

I’m guessing Tony is going to be promoting P90x and his book Bring It!

I’ll be tuning in and will update this post to talk about about Tony’s appearance, hopefully I can get a clip of the video to share also.

Update:

Tony Horton made his appearance on the Today Show with Hoda and Kathie Lee. It was a very short segment but was great publicity for Beachbody, P90x, and Tony Horton, it is a very popular show. The segment was kind of funny, those girls are always silly and I’ve only watched their show a few times but they’re actually kind of entertaining. I’m sure Tony Horton has a bone to pick with Hoda, towards the end of the clip she says “PX90″, instead of “P90x”. Get it right Hoda…lol.
