Can I Make A Full Time Living As A Beachbody Coach?

People always want to know how much money they will make as a Beachbody Coach, and specifically if they can earn enough to pay their bills solely as a Beachbody Coach. This is a tricky question to answer because each Beachbody Coach will see different levels of success depending on the effort they put into their business. It is important to realize that a Beachbody Coach is their own boss, so they can work as little as they want, and as much as they want. But as with anything is life, the success of a Beachbody Coach depends on how much effort you put into it. Just getting signed up as a Coach doesn’t insure success, in fact most Beachbody Coaches will struggle and fail in the first few months, there is a learning curve and it takes time to figure things out.

Generally speaking, a Beachbody Coach will not be able to earn a “full time income” within the first year. Of course, there are people that will sign up and do great and earn a lot of money from the start, but this typically isn’t the case. Being a Beachbody Coach is not a get rich quick scheme, it is a real business that takes time to grow. Beachbody uses the network marketing business model, and typically in any network marketing business, it will take about 3-5 years before you start generating what I would consider, “big money”. And as in “big money”, I’m talking 5-10k a week.

If you are thinking about becoming a Beachbody Coach, it is important to understand how the business model works. Typically when starting out you do a lot of work for little pay, and as time goes by and your business grows, you do less and less work for a lot of money. Some people that don’t understand the business model, and don’t see the big picture, may complain and not think they are being compensated properly for their work. These people need to do do their research, pick up a book on network marketing, study up a little, and they will learn that the business model of network marketing has many benefits to offer.

So, to answer the question on whether or not it is possible to make a full time income as a Beachbody Coach, the answer is a definite yes. Anyone that puts in the effort, and is consistent, can earn a full time income over time.

The truth is, building a successful Beachbody business is hard. Sure, it is fairly simple to make a few sales every now and then, which is great. But in order to earn the real big money that you hear about the leaders making, you need to be consistently sponsoring new Coaches into the business.

Once leads are coming in, you have to get them on the phone and you have to learn what to say to them. If you can master these skills, you will do great as a Beachbody Coach.

I am constantly buying new books, and training course to help me learn and improve my skills. If you ask any leader in the industry, they will tell you they have spent a fortune in training to get where they are, and that it was worth it. Just in the past few months I have spent about $700 on the training items I’m holding in the picture above. I’m holding the 2 items I mention above, and the No Excuses Summitt II DVDs, which I also recommend, but that one is kind of expensive, although I’m not sorry I purchased it. Just to be clear, I’m not saying to go out and buy every expensive tool and new “system” that is out there, especially when it comes to software, or special new “one click” programs that claim they will generate you thousands of dollars overnight. There is a lot of hype out there and it is easy to fall for, I’m guilty of it myself. What I am saying is to not be afraid to spend money on real training that will educate you and help you acquire the skills and abilities necessary to be successful in this business. No one is going to force you to do it, or do it for you. Your success is entirely up to you.

Beachbody Coach Business Building...Kinda

Building a successful Beachbody Coach business fast is hard. The business model is set up in a way that it takes time for it to grow. Don’t get me wrong, as a Beachbody Coach (distributor) it is always possible to sell products and earn a 25% commission. But making consistent sales for most people can be challenging.

So what does a Coach do? How Does a Coach go about making money?

My recommendation is to understand from the beginning that this business takes time to build and grow. And when I say build a grow, I’m talking about the sponsoring of new Coaches into your organization. Along with earning commissions from retailing products, Beachbody Coaches are also able to build a team, and organization of Coaches, where they will earn bonuses on all of the sales volume created within their organization.

There is no limit to the size of a Beachbody Coach’s team or organization. It starts with sponsoring 2 new Coaches into the business, then teaching them how to do the same. A Coach’s organization is made up of 2 legs, that go down to infinite levels. It is possible to grow an organization of hundreds, thousands, or even tens of thousands of Coaches. A large organization would create large sales numbers, which would earn more cycle bonuses for the Coach at the head of the organization, obviously results in more income.

The thing is, building a large organization takes time, years even. So the team cycle bonuses in the beginning are very low. But as time goes by, and the team keeps slowly growing and growing, before you know hit a mark where both legs have completely taken off and are growing almost by themselves, without you.

So how is build a Beachbody Coach business like digging a ditch?

What If I told you that, if you were to dig ditches, 70 hours a week, 7 days a week, for a year straight, you would make $10,000 a month after that first year and no longer have to dig those ditches. You’d have the money consistently coming in, and you would have the time freedom to do whatever you wanted. You could even continue to dig ditches all day long if you wanted. Would you take me up on that offer? Bust your ass for a year to make $10,000 a month while doing whatever you wanted? It is kind of like The Parable Of The Pipeline story.

I’d bet most people would take me up on that offer. This is the same concept involved in building any network marketing business. Work hard and bust your ass for the first 3-5 years, and you’d be able to build a large organization that would be earning you enough income to walk away completely, and still earn a very nice living. Work hard for 5 years, then have the freedom to travel the world, focus on new projects, spend time with family, do whatever it is you want to do.

In my opinion most people don’t see it this way. They sign up, expecting it to be easy, then quit after a few months after they haven’t made any money. Then they blame the company and the business model. But why would anyone expect the business to be easy? It’s not. It is just like any other job or profession. It takes time to acquire the skills and abilites necessary to succeed. You can’t just walk right in expecting to do great. This industry takes time to learn. You need to read books, listen to audio tapes, invest in yourself to raise your own value to othera. There is a learning process involved.

But in the end, that learning process is well worth the reward. The hard work for 3-5 years is definitely worth the 20, 30, or 40 years of financial and time freedom you’ll have.

Beachbody’s home based business opportunity is creating millionaires, SERIOUSLY!

A few days while on facebook I saw a post on the CEO and founder of Beachbody, Carl Daikeler’s wall, that said,

“I just learned that the 10th Team Beachbody Millionaire has been crowned: Robert Hudgens, proves that you really can succeed when you decide to help others reach their goals. That’s what happens with momentum… it starts slow, almost impossible to see, but follow the Game Plan, and over time the snowball becomes an unstoppable avalanche!”

First, congrats to Robert Hudgens, earning that kind of income in this business in such a short period of time is not easy to do. It is amazing that in only 5 years, Beachbody has already created 10 millionaires, and hundreds of other Beachbody Coaches earning some nice cheddar (click here if you don’t know what cheddar is…lol).

In Carl Daikeler’s quote from his facebook post above, he mentions how it starts out slow, then overtime, starts to snowball. This is exactly how this business model works. It takes some hard work and effort to get the ball rolling, but once the ball is rolling, it snowballs and become an unstoppable force.

With the Beachbody Coach business model, it is possible to build a team of Coaches and earn bonuses on the volume your entire team generates. There is no limit to the size of the team you can build, and over time, with exponential growth, it is possible to build an organization with hundreds and even thousands of Coaches in it. This is what makes it possible to be able to earn such a sizable income.

In theory, a Beachbody Coach would only need sponsor 2 other Coaches, 1 in each leg, who both did really well, in order to build a large organization. This business models relies on teamwork because you have vested interest in the Coaches that you bring into the business,  you want them to do well so you provide all of the help and support you can.

When it comes to explaining the Beachbody Coach business opportunity there is no reason to exaggerate or “hype it up”. It already sounds too good to be a true, so it is normal to have some skepticism towards the whole things. For example, when people ask me how much money is it possible to make as a Beachbody Coach, I hate to tell them the truth. The truth is that there is no limit to how much you can make as a Beachbody Coach, there are Coaches who are already making over a million dollars a year, and this business hasn’t even been around for 5 years yet.

I don’t like to tell people that some Beachbody Coaches are making a million dollars a year, it makes the opportunity sound to good to be true. The truth is, there are Coaches making some BIG money! But being a Beachbody Coach is not a get rich quick scheme my any means. Those who have become successful in this business have done so with hard work and persistence. As with any network marketing business, growing your Beachbody business will take time. Do not expect to get rich overnight. A general time frame that applies is 3- 5 years of consistently growing and building your business before you start to generate some decent residual income. And by decent, I’m talking in the 10K-15K a month range.

People are often skeptical of the income possibility of being a Beachbody Coach. I’ve heard, “how is it possible for a Beachbody Coach to earn $10,000 a month? That doesn’t make sense”, more times than I can remember. I’ve found that most people don’t know or understand how the network marketing business model works, and the upsides it has.

The reason it is possible for a Beachbody Coach to earn a million dollars a year is because each Coach is able to build there own organization, with hundreds, thousands, or even tens of thousands of other Coaches in their organization, and earn bonuses on all of the volume created within their organization. It is something that is not easy to do, and takes time to grow, but it is well worth the effort. As A Beachbody Coach, once your organization is built, you’re basically set for life.

Of course, Coaches can also make decent money just from retailing products. If a Coach was able to generate  just one Shakeology home direct (HD) customer a month, they would be earning around $360 every month from just those customers, and remember, that is just from acquiring one new customer a month, which just about anyone can do. The truth is, Beachbody has such great products, which makes them very easy to sell and also makes earning money as a Beachbody Coach through retailing much easier than other home based businesses that I have been involved with in the past.

I’m not surprised when someone tells me that they are skeptical of the Beachbody Coach business, it does kind of sound to good to be true.

I recently came across some interesting statistics while reading Mark Yarnell’s book, My First Year In Network Marketing. Although I would consider myself an experienced network marketer, I’m reading it because it has some great information and reinforces the basic fundamentals of why this is a great business model.

Let’s take a look at how the majority of us are living our lives. For 30-40 years, most of us go back and forth everyday to job we hate, barely making enough to pay our bills. Overtime, we give up on our dreams and become complacent to what we have achieved in our life. We stop chasing our dreams, we stop learning, and we give up entirely on any kind of personal growth  and development.

The below was taking directly from the book, My First Year In Network Marketing, by Mark Yarnell:

“By age twenty five, most people have an idea of what profession they’ll enter, anything from a fishing guide to a surgeon. But forty years later, out of a typical 100 people, 5 are still working, 36 are dead, 54 are dead broke (or at least earning far less than when they were employed), 4 are well off, and 1 person is wealthy. Thus, the forty-year plan means that for four decades most of us go back and forth, like a silly, sick, caged lion … and yet at the end of that time only 1 out of 100 has something to show for it!”

And Things Are Getting Worse

The video above is very sad. People’s lives have been crushed. Although the video is mostly about investing into a 401k, it also talks about the downturn of the economy and how getting laid off or losing a job can turn your financial situation into disaster. This reinforces the fact that working for someone else is the biggest financial risk someone can take. We all have the opportunity to be our own bosses and to take back control of our lives and finances.

Instead Of Working Hard For 40 Years, Work Hard For 4 Years…

With network marketing, it is possible to work hard for one company for 4 years and build an income based on the honest movement or products or services, and be set for life. While 4 years may be very ambitious, it is possible to do. I don’t want to give false hope or imply that it is something that is easy to do. As with any business or industry, there will be some learning involved that requires time and effort, but it well worth it. While author Mark Yarnell claims it is possible to achieve in 4 years, it may require up to 10 years of hard to work to earn enough residual income to consider yourself independently wealthy, 10 years is still much better than working hard for 40 years for someone else, and ending up with nothing.

More To Think About

Most network marketing businesses have very little to no risk. Most “brick and mortar” businesses require significant capital before you can even hang up a sign. This is not the case when joining a network marketing business. This is a significant fact because it enable anyone to be able to join and in the competitive world of home businesses and franchises, we have no equals other than other network marketing businesses.

Another great aspect of being part of a network marketing business is that there is literally no ceilings or limits on the amount of income that can be earned. Most workers are paid by the hour or a fixed salary and  there are only so many hours in a day, which limits how much they are able to make. Even high paid professions have limits to how much can be made, a lawyer can only bill so many hours in a day and a doctor can only perform a handful of surgeries in a day. Some great people working in traditional business haven’t had a raise in ten years. But, in our case, we can create a raise for our family everyday if we choose. Since we can sponsor an unlimited number of people who can each do the same, we are ultimately paid on the efforts of hundreds of thousands individuals. The fact that it is possible to earn 10K a week, or 100K a month is very exciting. I’ve personally met people that are making that kind of money and even more, so I know it is possible.

I was talking with an old friend today about Beachbody’s business opportunity and how it is unlike any other around. My “old friend” (we’re haven’t been friends in years) had a different opinion of Beachbody’s business model. This guy, we’ll call him Sam, is currently finishing out his last year in college. He has done P90x, had great results, and loves it. The problem he foresees with the being a Beachbody Coach is that the product product P90x, is too easy to replicate and distribute for free.

Sam admitted that he and many people in his college network found the P90x video files online, and then proceeded to burn them for themselves and for others that wanted them. Sam said people would never buy the workouts when they can just find them for free online.

First of all, it is illegal to find the files online and “burn them for free”. There are harsh penalties for doing such a thing and Beachbody strictly enforces this and takes legal action when they encounter such occurrences. Secondly, you aren’t just burning one DVD. P90x is 12 different workouts and nearly 12 hours of video. Downloading those large files is going to take hours and hours of work and will not even be the trouble, it is easier just to buy it. I’m not naive and understand people are going to be pirating the DVDs illegally, that type of stuff will always go on, but does that mean there is future to the business? Not even close…

Let’s take a look at water for example. Water is basically free, or incredibly cheap relative to the amount people need for drinking. Yet the bottled water business is a 60 billion dollar a year business and steadily growing. Why are so many people buying water when they can it for free legally, straight from their tap? Just because their is a free version of something, doesn’t mean people still won’t pay for it.

When someone purchases P90x legitametly through a Beachbody Coach, they get the nutrition guide, and the program guide, which are 2 things needed to achieve the best possible results. In my opinion, someone who purchases P90x is more likely to put in the effort to complete the program than someone who has a bootlegged copy.

As far a sharing your workout DVDs with friends, you won’t want to do this. P90x is a workout you will incorporate into your normal workouts for the rest of your life. If a friends wants to borrow a workout from you, tell them to buy their own. Better yet, become a Beachbody Coach and send them to your website to buy it and you will make a commission.

So How Does This All Compare To Monavie’s Business Opportunity?

Beachbody is not just P90x and workout DVDs. Beachbody also has top of the line supplements and the best meal replacement shake on the market with Shakeology. In fact, an entire company could have been built around Shakeology alone, like what was done with Monavie.

Monavie has been a huge success in creating a company around a single juice product, generating $2.1 billion in revenue their first 5 years in business. Imagine if Monavie had the same brand awareness that Beachbody has, and could offer their customers the best workout programs on the market.

Monavie may be a good company, but when comparing it to Beachbody it is not hard to see which one is better. Beachbody just has way much more to offer. The popularity of Beachbody’s products alone puts it above Monavie. I’m actually surprised at how successful Monavie has been. Monavie’s success just reinforces my opinion of how successful Beachbody will be. I’m certain Beachbody will be one of the most success network marketing companies of all time

Succeeding in any network marketing business can be very challenging, including Beachbody. While it is a tough business to excel in, I think anyone can be successful if they are willing to step out of their comfort zone, and put forth the time and effort  to acquire the skills and abilities needed. If it were easy, everyone would be doing it and making a butt load of money. From my experience, I’ve found that the lazy people, who join expecting quick, easy money, are the people who fail. And the people who join that are willing to put in some effort, and willing to learn, are the ones who succeed. Being a Beachbody Coach, or involved in any network marketing company is not a get rich quick scheme. Its is a real business and when treated as such can be very lucrative.

The 3 P’s

This is where the 3 P’s come in, Passion, Patience, and Persistence. These are 3 things that must be present to succeed as a Beachbody Coach. Building your business is going to be challenging. Their will be highs and lows as you build your business. Some weeks will be great, while other weeks will be full of disappointments. It is important to be persistent and keep moving forward. Don’t let small things like losing a customer, or having someone on your team going inactive get you down. This business is a roller coaster and it is very likely you will move up in the ranks, only to fall back down when someone on your team goes inactive or cancels completely. It has happened to myself and most of us in the business. I’m not saying to take these hinders in your business lightly, but sometimes being persistent and to keep moving forward is all you can do.

Having a passion for what you are doing is very important in building a successful Beachbody business. Having a true passion for health, fitness, and helping others get healthy, will help you get through the low times of the business. When things are slow and not looking so good, you will still be motivated because this is something you are passionate about. Maybe you passion is freedom to do whatever you want, when you want, and this business will enable you to do that once you reach a certain level of income. Whatever your passion is, or your “why” is, you have to think about that when things don’t seem to be going so well. This will help motivate you and get you back on track and building your business.

Again, building your Beachbody business will take some time. This is not the type of business that you can start and automatically be making tens of thousands of dollars a month. The truth is, most new Beachbody Coaches probably won’t make very much money their first couple of months. It will take some time to learn how to effectively market their business, and to find out what works best for them. Their are many ways to promote a network marketing business and everyone has their own way that works best for them. The great thing about a network marketing business is that once it is built, you will continue to earn income month after month. Network marketing is one of the few business models that allows someone to walk away completely, and still earn a very sizable residual income. While the first couple of years are tough, the effort is worth it in the long run.

If these 2 successful and respected businessmen believe in this business model, isn’t it at least worth taking a look at?

Being a Beachbody Coach, or any network marketing business, is not a get rich quick scheme. It takes years to build a successful business. However, the possibilty to earn $10,000-$20,000 a month is there. Think about this, you have the opportunity to make more than doctors and lawyers who have gone to college for 8 years or longer. Isn’t studying MLM for 2 years worth it?

There are many skeptics of the network marketing business model, but it still continue to grow year after year. If you are one of those skeptics, I suggest you keep an open mind, do a little research, and come to your own conclusion. I am not saying it is an easy business to succeed in, because it’s not. If it were easy everyone would be doing it and making boat loads of money. But by putting in the time to learn the business, putting in some effort, being persistent and patient, I believe anyone can be successful in network marketing. The resources are all out there for you to grab, the only one stopping you from grabbing them is yourself.
