shakeology is a consumable product

Shakeology Is A Consumable Product

It is great to be a Beachbody Coach and be able to offer popular workouts to potential customers. Beachbody produces high quality workout programs that get results, which is why they have become so popular. P90x and Insanity have basically become household names, everyone knows what they are. This kind of brand awareness is great for Beachbody Coaches and those looking to become a Beachbody Coach.  People have heard of the products and the company name, which makes our job as Coaches and distributors easier.

Beachbody Coaches earn a 25% commission on all sales they make. While selling P90x and Insanity is great, the real money comes from Shakeology. Shakeology is a consumable product, which means it is used up and re-ordered every month. While some Coaches might disagree with me about this, the main focus of the Beachbody business should really be on Shakeology. Think about it, making a P90x sale will earn a Beachbody Coach a one time $30 commission, while acquiring a Shakeology customer that re-orders every month will earn a Coach a total yearly commission of $360. So one Shakeology customer is 12 times more valuable than a one time P90x customer.

However, there are other ways to look at. Of course you can always offer P90x customers the P90x Protein Bars, P90x Recovery Drink, or any other supplements that Beachbody offers. I personally use Shakeology (what is Shakeology?), the P90x Recovery Drink, P90x Protein Bars, and Beachbody’s Omega 3 supplement on a consistent basis.

In order to sustain the networking marketing business model that Beachbody’s home business uses, there has to be volume created within the team. This means that Coaches should be drinking Shakeology, and buying their supplements from their Beachbody Coach account, and they’ll also get a 25% discount on any purchases they make for their own use.

The point that I’m trying to make is that being able to sell P90x, Insanity, Turbo Fire, or any other Beachbody product is great, but these sales should be used as a lead in for Shakeology and other supplements. It will be very hard for a Beachbody Coach to get rich by simply selling P90xes. However, if a Coach was able to acquire a just 3 Shakeology customers a month that all re-ordered every month, after a year that Coach would have 36 Shakeology customers, earning him/her close to $13,000/year just in Shakeology sales commissions.

Talking about the money side of the Beachbody business seems to be sometimes looked down upon, but ultimately it is still a business. As Coaches we are compensated for our time and effort, so talking about the best and most effective ways to earn should be ok right? Of course it also feels good to be able to help someone get healthy and fit, and it also feels good to be able to make a little money doing it.

Regularly acquiring new Shakeology customers, and sponsoring new Coaches into the business is how Beachbody Coaches are able to grow a large organization that is able to earn them a lot of money. I’m not exaggerating when I say “a lot” of money, the top earning Beachbody Coach in 2010 made over 1 million dollars!

The income potential is pretty much limitless as a Beachbody Coach, but this doesn’t mean it is a get rich quick scheme in any way. It is still a real business, that takes effort, and is very challenging to succeed in. If you are looking for a get rich quick scheme, this isn’t for you.

shakeology and drug test

Suma Root Is One Of The 70 Ingredients In Shakeology

Ok, let me start out by saying that what I am about to write about is hearsay for me, I’m a Beachbody Coach, a distributor for Beachbody, and not a doctor or nutritionist. So it might be best to take this information lightly until you do more research. But, from what I understand, Shakeology could possibly result in a positive drug test for professional athletes that are tested for performing enhancement drugs.

If you are a Shakeology drinker, don’t be alarmed, this is nothing to be worried about. Shakeology is perfectly safe, and is even extremely good for your body. The problem with drug tests and Shakeology arises because of a natural ingredient in Shakeology called, suma root. Apparently, there is something in suma root that mimics certain steroids which would cause an athlete to falsely test positive.

Suma root, which is also referred to as Brazilian ginseng, is nicknamed “para tudo”, which means, “for all”. Suma root is found in South America and used traditionally as a medicine and tonic. Suma root has many uses including an increased resistance to stress, and an overall boost to body functioning.

To go into further in detail, the actual part of the suma root that is mistaken for steroids is called ecdysterone. Ecdysterone can be found in several plants, not just the suma root. In addition to ecdysterone, the powerful Suma Root contains over 19 different natural and bio-active compounds, including amino acids, electrolytes, trace minerals, iron, magnesium, zinc, vitamins A, B1, B2, E, K, and pantothenic acid. In other words, it’s a miracle root.

The goods news is that unless you are a professional athlete that is tested for performance enhancing drugs, you don’t have to worry about this. Shakeology does not contain any stimulants or artificial substances. Suma root has been scientifically proven to provide a wide variety of benefits. So drink up Johnny!

Vegan Shakeology

Since the creation of Shakeology a little over 2 years ago, I have been contacted by dozens of people asking when a vegan Shakeology will be available. I knew there were plans for a vegan Shakeology, but I never had a specific date, until now. A vegan Shakeology will be available sometime in the first quarter of 2012, most likely in January.

The vegan diet is becoming more and more popular as the benefits of it are being talked about. Research is being done, and people are starting to listen to the facts. Eating an all vegan diet is all around more healthier for the human body. There are many benefits to being vegan which include:

  • Healthy Weight Loss
  • Higher Energy Levels
  • Healthier Skin
  • Longevity
  • Less Body Odor
  • Reduction In Bad Breath
  • Healthier Hair
  • Reduction In PMS Symptoms
  • Alleviates Allergy Problems
  • Prevents Disease
  • And Much More

While I’m not a vegan, or a vegetarian, after reading the list of benefits above, I’m not against it in any way and am thinking maybe I should consider choosing this option. Our bodies deserve the best food and nutrition possible, if these means being a vegan, then so be it.

Many people do not know the difference between a vegetarian and a vegan. A vegan does not eat anything that comes from a living animal. The major difference between a vegetarian and a vegan is dairy consumption. A vegetarian will eat a slice of cheese pizza, while a vegan will not.

It seems like it would be difficult to be 100% vegan. Your options are limited if you are ever traveling or out on the road. It seems as if every meal would have to be perfectly planned. The new vegan Shakeology will be a healthy snack that you will be able to take anywhere. And the best news is, the vegan Shakeology flavor is Tropical, and is supposed to be the best tasting flavor out of the 3.

Coming Soon! Vegan Shakeology!

Because I’m a Beachbody Coach, I’m often asked questions on Shakeology. I’m embarrassed to admit that I really don’t know that much about the shake. Don’t get me wrong, I drink it everyday, it tastes great, keeps me feeling full for hours, curbs my cravings for sweets, and keep my energy levels high all day long. So I know it is a great shake, I just don’t know exactly what is in it. I think because there so many ingredients that it is hard to give justice when I try explain it. I feel like I’m always leaving something out.

It is a good thing that Beachbody has a  handful of 3rd party tools available for Beachbody Coaches to use to help explain the product. There are over a dozen videos I can share through an email, audio CDs, DVDs, and brochures that I am able to give out to potential customers who are interested in learning more about Shakeology. I especially like sharing the Dr.s Don’t Lie video with potential customers. Why take my word for it when you can hear what Dr.s have to say about Shakeology.

The best way I describe Shakeology is that is a delicious shake that is high in protein, and contains many other ingredients that are great for your health. Pretty simple and accurate, plus I don’t have to worry about saying “too much” and giving the potential customer information overload.

Shakeology has many benefits. It has been proven to lower cholesterol and aid in digestion. You might not like to think about it, but digestion, intestinal health and regularity are link to your overall health and immune system. Eliminating toxins is an important part of being healthy and Shakeology aids in that healthy process. In the video below you will hear what a few Shakeology drinkers have to say about what the shake has done for them.

**Food for Thought:

FACT: The RDA for calories is 2000kcal/day. We all know that in order to lose weight you need to burn more than you take in. THAT DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOU GO EXTREMELY LOW IN YOUR CALORIC INTAKE! When you go below 1200-1300 calories per day, you put your body into starvation mode, thus shifting your metabolism to SLOW DOWN and burn calories more slowly. If you were to take in just two “Body by Vi” shakes (without additives) daily plus a regular meal (let’s assume that meal is around 350 calories), plus two 100 calorie snacks, you’ll only be taking in 550 calories. Why is it so low in calories? They simply aren’t offering you the fuel you need to get through the day. By skimping on glucose (essential for your brain to function) and other carbohydrates (4 calories per carb), they can offer you lower calories. Offering a 90 calorie shake sounds good on paper, but in practice this simply does not make sense. By reducing your carbohydrate intake, you will essentially cause your body to begin burning proteins instead of carbohydrates like it is supposed to. Why is this bad? The main source of protein that your body will have will not be an adequate amount of protein found in a BBV shake. Instead your body will begin to degrade the proteins in your muscle. Because your body is not supposed to use its own proteins for fuel, large waste protein byproducts are made which must then be flushed out of your body. These waste protein byproducts are known as “ketones” and require a great amount of water to be flushed out. Because of this fact, you will start to urinate a lot, excreting a great amount of water weight. If you do not properly hydrate, then you will easily become dehydrated. After a few days, you’ll be fatigued and cranky. This is because: 1. Your body won’t be getting the energy it needs to run properly. 2. You’ll be dehydrated. (Fatigue is a symptom of dehydration.) 3. You’re in starvation mode.

What I like about the shakeology is the design of the program. It’s easy. You drink one shake a day and make healthy choices. You can make the shake how YOU like it. You get to eat REAL FOOD-not a processed snack made by a company to sell. Fruits and vegetables are encouraged. It’s up to YOU. You are encouraged to exercise while on shakeology. THERE IS NO MAGIC PILL OR POWDER THAT CAN TAKE THE WEIGHT OFF! It comes off with hard work, behavior modification, and patience. Any program that promises you instant results may cause you to initially lose a few pounds, but as time goes on you’ll gain the weight back and only end up losing money.

And The Winner Is….Shakeology!

Again the choice is up to you. If you do not wish to use Shakeology in your plans to lose weight, then that’s ok. Beachbody coaches are not here to “push” products. We inform you of what we have available which has helped us and may help you. You make the choice that best suits your lifestyle and goals.

Shakeology VS Red Bull

Shakeology Compared To Red Bull

Shakeology vs Red Bull

Matt SchmicFarlane - Get This Guy Another Red Bull

I have a friend who drinks 3-5 Red Bulls a day, he insists that it gives him energy and makes him feel great. To prevent from embarrassing him, I won’t use this friend’s real name here on the internet, let’s just say his name rhymes with Matt SchmicFarlane :) . I was over at “Matt’s” house a few days ago and noticed a garbage bag of empty cans out in the garage. Upon further investigation, I seen that the bag was completely full of empty Red Bull cans, there had to be over a hundred of them in there.

I said, “Damn! How many Red Bull’s do you friggin drink?”

Matt replied, “About 5 a day, I love em”.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m guilty of drinking a Red Bull myself on occasion in the past, but that was 10 years ago when I was in my early 20′s, and it was usually mixed with some Vodka and acted as a ‘warm up” drink before heading out to the bar, that’s just what early twenty somethings do. But 5 Red Bulls a day! I’m not a doctor or anything, but 5 Red Bulls a day can’t be good for you.

I was curious to see what what FoodFacts.com had to say about Red Bull and what rating they gave it. FoodFacts.com gives Red Bull a rating of 13 out of 100, which is very low. At $2 per can, you’d think people would want something with some nutritional value in it. For example, Shakeology cost about $4 per serving, but is loaded with nutrition and all natural ingredients that will make you feel energized throughout the entire day. FoodFacts.com give Chocolate Shakeology a rating of 97 out of 100, which is great. Check out the Shakeology VS Red Bull comparison below:

Get More Information On Shakeology

As  you can see from the above comparison, there really is no comparison, Shakeology is easily the superior product. It amazes me how people are always complaining about the price of Shakeology, which is loaded with healthy ingredients, but will pay $2 for 1 can of Red Bull or $3 for 1 shot of a 5 Hour Energy, both products that contain very little to no nutritional value at all. The logic really makes no sense and is almost humorous in a sick sense of humor sort of way.

Red Bull Is Banned In France

It’s true, Red Bull is completely banned in France, and the company was also forced to reformulate the product in Turkey, reducing the amount of caffeine by almost half, to prevent from being banned there also. In Sweden, Denmark, and Norway, Red Bull is used for medicinal purposes, and in Japan, until just recently, it was only sold in pharmacies.

So what’s the point? The point is, if you’re willing to shell out top dollar from products that are harmful to you, don’t you think you deserve to treat yourself to something that is actually GOOD for you. One day you’re going wake up and be 50, with heart troubles, and general health problems and decide that it might be time to give up the Red Bulls. By then, the damage is done and it’s too late. The time to start is now.

New Shakeology Flavor

Tropical Is New Shakeology Flavor

The Team Beachbody Coach Summit is taking place this weekend and they are making a handful of big announcements. Just minutes ago it was announced that Tropical will be the new Shakeology flavor released soon. It is an island-tastic combo of berries, pineapple, and papaya. Sounds like it would be delicious on a hot sunny day, such as today.

If you’re not familiar with Shakeology, it currently comes in Chocolate and Greenberry flavors. Tropical will be a nice change of pace for those of us who have been drinking strictly Chocolate over the past 2 years. This new Shakeology flavor release is a big deal because of the challenges Beachbody faces when trying to create a flavor. Beachbody keeps all of the ingredients truly natural and healthy for our bodies, which is very hard to do, and still make taste good.

A while back, Beachbody tried to come up with a Vanilla flavored Shakeology. They worked hard on it but were unable to produce it in line with the high standards that Beachbody has and the high quality they promise to their customers. Here is a great video from the 2010 Beachbody Coach Summit where the CEO of Beachbody, Carl Daikeler, explains why Vanilla is such a hard flavor to produce in Shakeology standards. This video shows the integrity of the company and shows just how great Shakeology is.

Shakeology On Fox News

Shakeology On Fox NewsOh no, not another “Health Shake”! Is that what you are thinking? To be honest, that is what I was thinking a little over 2 years ago when Shakeology was first released. I figured it was all hype and had no intention of even trying it.

Now, I drink religiously everyday. I prefer the chocolate over greenberry, to be honest, and can only drink the greenberry as a last resort. If I run out of chocolate, I will dip into my greenberry stash to get my fix.

So what happened that changed my opinion of Shakeology?

“A man too busy to take care of his health is like a mechanic too busy to take care of his tools.” – Spanish proverb

Well, as a Beachbody Coach, I know Beachbody puts out a quality product, whether it be a workout program, or a supplement, Beachbody puts their all into every product they create. I also previewed some of the marketing material for Shakeology, and listened to what 100 Doctors had to say about Shakeology, and decided to give a try for myself. Shakeology comes with a 30 day empty bag money back guarantee, so I figured I had nothing to lose. I would give it a try for 30 days, and if I don’t see any results, or don’t like it, I’ll just send it back for a full refund. Also, as a Beachbody Coach, I figured it was my duty to give it a try myself before I was going to try and sell it to potential customers. From an integrity standpoint, if Shakeology turned out to be a lousy product, I wouldn’t even bother to try and sell it, that just wouldn’t be right.

My Review

I was in love with Shakeology after the first 30 days of drinking it. It tasted great (chocolate), it made me feel full for hours, and it kept my energy levels up. I was hooked, it was as if my body craved the nutrition. If there are days now that I don’t to get to drink it for some reason, everything feels off. I feel starved when I miss my daily Shakeology drink, it’s weird. It is almost as if they’ve put some sort of addictive drug into it to keep me coming back for more, but in a good way :) .

The word about Shakeology is spreading. Shakeology already has close to 30,000 facebook “likes”, was mentioned in a article in Oprah Winfrey’s O Magazine, and was on Fox News in L.A. Below is the clip from Fox News with the creator of Shakeology, Darin Olien, and he talks about  the superfood ingredients found in the “Healthiest Meal Of The Day”, Shakeology.

Shakeology is an awesome drink. The nutrition in unlike anything you will find anywhere. You deserve to treat your body and health to this wonderful shake. But don’t take my word for it, give it a try for yourself. Shakeology comes with a 30 money back so there is absolutely no risk. Give it a try and if you’re not happy, send it back. You can even get a refund sending back an empty back, that’s the kind of confidence Beachbody and I have in this product.

Shakeology In Oprah Winfrey’s O Magazine

Shakeology On OprahShakeology was talked about in depth in an article from in Oprah Winfrey’s O Magazine. The editor in Chief of O Magazine traveled to Peru with the creator of Shakeology, Darin Olien where they travel the country in search for the super foods used in the awesome shake. It is a very good article that gives a ton of information on some of the ingredients that can be found in Shakeology as well as other super foods that are not in the shake.

The article also talks about what these “special” ingredients do for the human body and how their is a great amount that nobody even knows about some of the nuts, fruits, and vegetables. For example, in the article the ingredient yacon is explained. (Shakeology contains 1000 mg of yacon.)

“Have I talked to you about yacon?” Olien asked, describing the potato-shaped vegetable that was, improbably, a cousin of the sunflower. “It’s an amazing food, a tuber that has a bunch of different sugars in it.” The most important of these sugars is a rare type known as fructooligosaccharide (FOS), and yacon is the richest known source of it. Although FOS tastes beautifully sweet, it’s not processed in the body like other sugars because we lack the enzymes to digest it (making it perfect for diabetics-and dieters, because few calories are absorbed). But rather than being expelled like some alien substance, on its way through your body yacon does a number of helpful things. It acts as a prebiotic, encouraging healthy bacteria in your intestines and colon, and aids in fat metabolism, cholesterol management, vitamin absorption, blood sugar regulation, even bone density. “It could be a sweetener solution for the entire planet,” Olien said.

As a Beachbody Coach it is very exciting to the products I offer constantly in the media. Beachbody has awesome products that produce results. After reading the article and learning more about how Shakeology was created and what some of the ingredients are actually doing, I believe in the product more than ever!

How To Make More Money As A Personal Trainer

Make Extra Income With ShakeologyBeing a personal trainer can be a very fulfilling profession. Trainers get to help people live better lives by getting people in shape.

However, there are only so many hours in a day, so as a trainer you are limited to the number of clients you are able to work with, which limits the amount of money you are able to earn.

So how can a personal trainer earn additional income?

Recommending products and supplements is a great way for personal trainers to earn some extra money. As a personal trainer, you are probably already recommending prodcuts to your clients, so why not get paid for it? Some research must be done though, you don’t want to ruin your reputation or lose your integrity by recommending useless or ineffective products just to earn a buck. You will want to recommend products that you have used yourself and have had actual experiences with.
