Obesity has gotten so out of control for Americans that the US government now wants to know how fat everyone is. In fact, by 2014, it will be a requirement. New federal regulations issued this week stipulate that the electronic health records–that all Americans are supposed to have by 2014 under the terms of the stimulus law that President Barack Obama signed last year–must record not only the traditional measures of height and weight, but also the Body Mass Index: a measure of obesity.

Who really know exactly what this will mean and who will have access to these records, I’m sure there will be some privacy issues to deal with. If you ask me, making this measure of obesity a requirement is an invasion of privacy and is really nobody’s business but their own. But the the government rightfully argues that the problem of obesity is getting out of control and some sort of action must be taken, maybe they are right, but is this requirement the right thing to do? Michelle Obama has made dealing with the problem of childhood obesity the main theme of her term as First Lady.

Either way, the the required obesity rating is right or wrong, it will be here and it looks as if there is nothing we can do about it now. What we can do is decide to make a lifestyle change and get in shape today. It is up to us to make a change for better health, better lives for ourselves and our families. It is never to late to start.

In recent years, 52-year-old (that’s correct, he’s 52) Tony Horton’s P90X workout program has attracted celebrities, professional athletes, congressmen, and a significant number of military members.

He’s now taking his expertise to the next level by providing guidance to military leaders on how to improve fitness for service members.

At results gym in Southeast D.C., he put some Marines to the test. The hour-long workout combined cardio, resistance training, yoga and pilates.

“I’ve never seen anyone his age give it his all, and it really made everyone here push themselves,” said Capt. Lisa Lawrence, a USMC Public Affairs Officer

Horton mentioned some military branches haven’t altered their fitness standards since 1980 despite an obesity rate he says has doubled since the start of the Iraq war.

More great publicity for Beachbody! This Friday, July 16th, ABC’s The View is running a dieting special and will be reviewing top workout videos. Brazil Butt Lift made the cut! And the rumor is that a few of the hosts will actually perform a few of the moves, I hope it is Elisabeth Hasselbeck doing the Brazil Butt Lift moves and not Barbara Walters…

The typical day of a Beachbody Coach will vary greatly depending on your marketing methods and how established your business is at the time. Typically, when starting out as a Beachbody Coach, you will have another full time job so the amount of free time you have to promote your new business is limited. This is fine and is probably the ideal situation because not much time is needed to get your business going and by having a job you’ll be able to keep income coming in while building your business.

Generally, being a Beachbody Coach does not require a great deal of your time. Being able to devote 1 hour a day to your business is more than enough. Whether you are writing or replying to emails, making a blog post, creating a youtube video, having a home party, or whatever your marketing methods may be, an hour a day is usually enough time to get things ton. Weekends are always an option also. For those of you who work long days during the week, it may be easier to spend 3 hours on a Saturday and Sunday getting some things done.

The Beachbody Coaches who use the workout programs and the ones who usually are successful, so a part of your day should also be spent exercising, after all, as a Beachbody Coach you should be a product of the product.

For those Beachbody Coaches lucky enough to have built there business big enough to be able to quit there full time jobs as have Beachbody as their main source of income, a typical day would be something like this.

Wake up and have a healthy breakfast or maybe replace breakfast with Shakeology. After breakfast send out or reply to some emails for a half hour to a hour. Do your P90x workout or whatever program you are current doing at the time. Make a blog post about your workout, Beachbody news, or whatever it is you feel like writing about. If you have some leads or prospects to call, make those calls for the day. Update your facebook profile with some motivational words of wisdom. Have some lunch. Now the rest of the day is free to do whatever you want. Take the dog for a walk, play with the kids, go shopping, clean the house, do whatever it is you want to do.

While it may take a some time to get to the point that I described above, it is definitely possible and many people are doing it already. This is what is great about network marketing, the possibilities are endless.

What Does This Mean For Beachbody Coaches?

This alliance represents an opportunity for Beachbody Coaches to take an active part in promoting diabetes awareness and, in so doing, be involved in reversing the trend of obesity and curbing the threat of diabetes. Coaches can also participate in events held across the nation to promote awareness of Beachbody products to those attending, thereby providing excellent lead opportunities.

Daniel Negreanu Does P90x

Professional poker player Daniel Negreanu is the latest addition to the list of celebrities that do P90x. While Poker many not officially be considered a “sport”, which is debatable, it is still covered highly on ESPN and Fox Sports. Also, the 12 hour poker tournaments that Daniel Negreanu often cashes in, can be physically and mentally grueling. With millions of dollars at stake it only makes sense be in the best shape you can while playing poker, this is why Daniel has been doing P90x.
