P90x Isn’t For Amateurs! Resistance Band Fail

When I was 9 years old I jumped a speed bump on my bike in a parking lot. For some reason, I had one bolt holding my front tire on, which I learned the hard way, isn’t a very good idea. The scenario went something like this. I jumped the speed bump, got some wicked air (about 2 inches…give me a break…I was only 9), and my front tire came flying off. The only way to land was on the forks, which brought me an abrupt stop and through me over the handle bars face first. I must of flew 50 ft (probably about 2 feet, but remember, I was 9). My tooth cracked in half and I got a fat lip. It wasn’t pretty, but I sucked it up and walked my bike about a half a mile home crying.

What’s the point you ask?

Well, I guess the point is to not ride a bike with one bolt holding the front tire on, and if you do, then don’t jump speed bumps or curbs.

A recent P90x accident made me think of my tragic bike crash. Fortunately I wasn’t involved in the P90x accident. Apparently this guy was doing a P90x workout using the resistance bands. He had a hook fastened in the wall or ceiling somewhere and as he was pulling the bands towards him, the hook flies off and crashes into his face…lol. I’m sorry for laughing, but I can just picture the whole thing in my head. That must of hurt pretty bad.

What’s the point you ask,again?

Make sure your hook is fastened really, really, really good.

Buddy Does The Downward Dog Yoga Pose

Recently while doing the P90x Yoga x workout I noticed my dog Buddy watching me. Not long after he was joining right in. In the photo to the right I was able to get a picture of him performing a perfect downward dog yoga pose. I guess he figured that if the pose was name after his species he should be able to do it correctly. Great job Buddy! Now lets see how he does with the balance postures…

Sammy The Squirrel Does P90x

Yes, it is true, A squirrel named Sammy is giving credit to P90x for his ripped physique. You are probably saying to yourself right now, “no way, how is this even possible? A squirrel doing P90x, that is crazy.”

We caught up with Sammy and this is what he had to say, “The hardest part of the whole P90x workout was getting the DVDs out of the case, I lack the opposable thumbs you humans have. Oh, and yoga sucked too, but it really help with my flexibility, I’ve never been able to dig up so many nuts so fast in my life.”
