When compared to P90x or Insanity, which are both 6 days a week, Les Mills Pump seems more reasonable and easier to maintain long term. I recently came across a negative Les Mills Pump Review and the only complaint the customer had was the the barbell and clamps where hard to assemble and use. All of the equipment you need comes with your order, you get two 5 lb and two 10 lb weight plates, two safety clamps, and a barbell. Some assembly is required but it really is not that complicated.

I love love Les Mills Pump. I feel really good, I’ve lost some poundage and inches. This is a workout I can see myself doing for quite some time. It’s simple, it’s fun, and effective. It grows with you, and I tell you, a little bit of weight on the bar goes a long way! I started with the 5 lb plates for lower body. For shoulders, I used 2.5 # plates that I had already. You really can feel the burn with the lighter weights. I’ve been used to lifting heavy so this is quite different for me. And did I say, I love it?????
I had no trouble putting the bar together. The weight plates were a little too snug, but finally slid on fine. The clamps are weird, but after I got the hang of them they were okay. At first I thought, “oh great, these don’t work, now what am I gonna do?’ I realized it takes quite a bit of pressure to clamp them down. Those of you who say they are broken, probably didn’t push hard enough on the little flippy thing.. (technical term :) LOL.
