I must admit that I feel a little funny posting photos of myself shirtless on the internet, but here they are. I also have to admit I was not trying to flex my muscles in the day 1 photos while I was flexing my hardest for the day 90 photos, it makes for a better effect. :)

I finally finished my 90 day P90x workout. I am very happy with the results I achieved. When I first heard about P90x, I said to myself, “I’m not doing a stupid workout video, workout videos are for girls”. I originally got involved with Beachbody because I was interested in the home business opportunity (which is also going very well), but after hearing so many good things about P90x, I decided to give it a try and I’m glad that I did.

P90x is an intense, time consuming program, but I knew I could dedicate an hour a day if I just pushed myself. After the first week, P90x becomes addicting. Surprisingly my favorite P90x workout yoga, it was brand new to me and very hard. Before P90x, I thought yoga was for girls, I was wrong, yoga is very challenging. I didn’t follow the P90x nutrition plan as close as I should have, I did try to cut out as much junk food as possible and raised my protein intake a lot. Proper nutrition is half the battle with this program. I’d recommend P90x to anyone looking to get in shape. After these 90 days, I’m pretty sure I’m in the best shape of my life.

Rob’s P90x Results Video And Photos

Here is Rob’s P90x results video. Rob had put on “happy” weight after getting married and had gotten up to 250 pounds and decided it was time to make a change. Rob had great results with P90x.

This is what Rob had to say:

“Five years ago when I met my wife, I was 225 and I gained a little happy weight over the first 3, 4 years of our marriage and got up to about 250, the biggest I had ever been . . . Me as a guy, the last thing ever I thought I would be doing is sitting in my living room, working out in front of a TV. It’s just something I always saw my mom or my sister doing aerobics. And it’s amazing. I’m sitting here working in front of the TV and I don’t feel funny . . . I’ve got a great personal trainer, just right there, telling me what moves to do, when to do ‘em, how to do ‘em, and just guide me through a process. And all you have to do is just follow it . . . It’s not easy by any means, but if you commit to it, the way that you feel after each workout is amazing ’cause you feel like you’ve just conquered the world, and you’re excited to even go back and do it the next time . . . You want this, so get it done.”

Homer Simpson Does P90x

First celebrities, the professional athletes, now cartoon characters! P90x is really becoming a household name. I’ve been informed that Homer Simpson has completed his first round of P90x and had had great success.

Below is Homer’s P90x transformation video. It really changed his life, a truly inspiring story.

I am into the second recovery week of P90x. My days are are screwed up though because I extended the phase between weeks 5-7. So I did an extra week worth of workouts before the second recovery week. I added this extra week because I screwed up my schedule. I somehow looked at the P90x lean schedule and was going off that for 2 weeks. I somehow only ended up 4 days behind schedule even with adding an extra week.

So the past 4 days were the start of the second recovery week. Although it is a recovery week, it is still pretty tough, yoga 2 times this week, ouch. Day 53 was yoga x. Yoga is still very hard for me but for some reason I like this workout, it’s challenging and different.

Day 54 of P90x was core synergistics. Core Synergistics is a total body workout that focuses on strengthening the lumbar spine and trunk muscles. It is made up up a wide variety of all different kinds of moves and exercises.

Day 55 of P90x was Kenpo X. I skipped this workout and substituted it with my Muay Thai kickboxing class. These classes can be very exhausting and is probably harder than the Kenpo workout, so I don’t feel guilty for skipping the Kenpo X workout.

Day 56 of my P90x workout was the stretching routine. This is just a relaxing hour of stretching out the entire body. I feel great after this workout is over.

My P90x Review, Day 51-52

P90x DVDs, Workout Guide, And Nutrition Plan

P90x DVDs, Workout Guide, And Nutrition Plan

The past 2 days were days 51 and 52 of my P90x workout. The workout for day 51 was Kenpo X. Kenpo X is a cardio workout that is made up of punches and kicks. I usually skip this workout and substitute it with a Muay Thai kickboxing class or a Brazilian jiu-jitsu class. Since day 51 fell on a Saturday, which is my jiu-jitsu day, I went to my jiu-jitsu class instead of doing the Kenpo X. I don’t feel guilty for skipping the kenpo workout, my jiu-jitsu class can be pretty tough and I probably get a better workout there than I would doing the Kenpo.

Day 52 was my stretch or rest day. Since it was Easter, I decided to skip the stretching and rest. I do feel a little bit guilty about my diet though, it has been pretty bad. Yesterday I had 2 cream puffs and a cupcake after a huge Easter dinner. Oh well, I ‘ll be sure to work them off today :)

Is P90x Just A Fad?

P90x Chest And Back

Is P90x Just A Fad?

It seems as if the popular P90x infomercial is being aired on television more and more, every time I change the channel it is on. I would say I am generally a skeptical person and usually disregard commercials because I know the purpose of them, which is to sell the viewers products. That is why when I originally saw the P90x infomercial I flipped right past figuring it was just another weight loss fad.

As time went by I began to hear more and more about P90x. I heard celebrities and professional athletes crediting P90x for getting them in great shape. The thing that got my attention was these celebrities and athletes were not being paid to endorse P90x, they were endorsing it and speaking highly of it because they genuinely loved it. It is rare to see a professional athlete talk about or promote a product when they are not getting paid for it.

I’ve looked all over the internet for P90x reviews, there is a ton of stuff out there, and it is very hard to find any negative feedback on P90x. Everyone seems to love it. At the time of this writing, P90x has over 90,000 facebook fans! Coin collecting has 508. Youtube has thousands of video testimonials from real people showing their results. I have to admit that most seem to have great results and their videos are very motivating and inspiring.

Is P90x just a fad? It doesn’t look like it. With professional athletes, policeman, fireman, military, teenagers, and even people in their 60’s using P90x, it appears to be for everyone and is here to stay.

P90x Day 50, Back and Biceps, Ab Ripper X

Today was day 50 of my P90x workout. The workout for today was back and biceps followed by ab ripper x. The back and biceps workout kills the biceps. There are tons of curls and pull ups in this workout. There are several different variations of pulls ups that are done in this workout and one of the toughest ones is the towel pull up. To do this move, you throw a towel over the pull up bar so it is folded in half and hangs down. Then you grab the towel with one hand and the pull up bar with the other hand and do pull ups. You do 3 pull ups, then switch the towel to the other hand and do three on that side and keep going until you can’t go anymore, these are some tough pull ups.

After the back and biceps workout was ab ripper x. I can feel the results of ab ripper x. My stomach muscles feel harder and stronger. This is a tough workout but it gets a little easier each time I do it. there are a few small variations you can do to make the move a little easier or harder depending on where you are at in your fitness level.

The video below is of me doing 100 pull ups. Is it real or fake?

My P90x Review Day 49 Plyometrics

Plyometrics Legs

Plyometrics Is The Cure For Chicken Legs

Today was day 49 of my P90x workout and the workout for today was Plyometrics. Tony Horton, the creator of P90x call this “the mother” of all P90x workouts. It is definitely a tough workout but I am much better at it now than I was the first few times I did it. The first couple of weeks I did plyometrics I had to pause the DVD several times to catch my breath. Now I’m able to keep up with the video. Plyometrics is more of a cardio routine, you’ll get your heart rate up and keep it the entire time. If I can remember correctly there are only 4, 30 second breaks the entire hour, well about 48 minutes if you don’t include the 10 minute warm up. At the end of the plyometrics workout, I am always pouring in sweat.

P90x Ab Ribber X Abs

I Bet She Uses P90x Ab Ripper X

Yesterday was day 48 of my P90x workout. It was supposed to be the start of my recovery week but since I screwed up my P90x schedule on weeks 5 and 6 I decided to add another week to this phase before I do the recovery week. I screwed up weeks 5 and 6 by doing the lean P90x schedule instead of the classic schedule so I was missing the back and biceps workout those 2 weeks. It is probably not that big of a deal, like I said, I am going to try to make up for it by adding a week to this phase.

The workout for today was chest, shoulders, and triceps, followed by ab ripper x. I like this workout a lot. I can really feel it in my triceps. By the end of this workout I can barely do a push up and my arms feel like jello. I did the workout almost 24 hours ago and my arms still feel fatigued. The P90x chest, shoulders, and triceps workout is made up of a lot of push ups,  shoulder presses, and tricep extensions. There are 24 different exercises total in this workout and they hit the targeted muscles from every angle imaginable. The P90x chest, shoulders, and triceps DVD is a great workout.

After the chest, shoulders, and triceps workout was ab ripper x. I’ve gotten a lot better in the 7 weeks I’ve been doing ab ripper x. I remember the first time I did it I struggled through the entire workout and wasn’t even close to keeping up with the video and wasn’t doing all the reps they were doing. I’m pretty much there now, I’m able to keep up and complete all the reps. I think I wrote in my first post that my goal in the 90 days was to just be able to keep up with the ab ripper x video, I’m already there in only half the time.  :)
