Yesterday a new Beachbody Coach joined my team and I gave him a call to welcome him to the team and chat for a few minutes. Before we ended the call, he had a few questions for me. One of the questions he asked was, “what is the biggest and most common mistake that you see new Beachbody Coach making?”

This is a very good question, and I was happy that he asked it. You can usually tell how smart or intelligent someone is by the questions that they ask. Not that you have to be a genius or anything to be successful as a Beachbody Coach, but you get the jist.

The Most Common Mistake New Beachbody Coaches Make

I’ve sponsored a large number of people in this business, and the most common mistake that I see new Beachbody Coaches making is that they don’t take the business seriously. A lot of new Beachbody Coaches get signed up with this mentality:

“I’ll give this a try…and if it works out…then I’ll take it seriously”

This is not the mindset that you want to have as a brand new Beachbody Coach. If you get started in this business with that mindset, you are destined for failure. This is a “real” business and it is challenging. Succeeding as a Beachbody Coach is going to take some real effort.

Why So Many Beachbody Coaches Get Started With The Wrong Mindset

I believe that because the barrier of entry to get started as a Beachbody Coach is so low, people can easily quit without losing much. Someone can pay the $39.95 fee it cost to become a Coach, then send out a quick email to some friends, or make a post on facebook trying to make a sale, and when they don’t make a sale, or get a positive response, they can easily quit and say, “Oh well, I gave it a shot.”

The reality is as a Beachbody Coach you are a business owner. It is going to take more than just a facebook post or email to get the ball rolling in your business. There are skill sets that you will have to learn. You will have to be patient and willing to put in some real effort. The best part about this business is that the skills you need to be success can be learned, and with some real effort, this can be a very lucrative business.

The key to succeeding as a Beachbody Coach is to make a decision from the beginning that you will make this work no matter what. That you will do anything and everything you possibly can to make this business work. You have to act as if you’ve invested $10,000, or even $100,000 in this business and that the livelihood of you and your family depends on you making this business work.

I know this might sound kind of extreme, but this post is for those that are interested in earning a serious income from their Beachbody business. Of course there is always the option to market the business passively to friends and family and earn maybe an extra hundred bucks a month. But if you want to earn the big bucks, you are going to have to treat your Beachbody business seriously.
