As a Beachbody Coach, reaching Emerald status is the first step in building your business. You want to get to Emerald as fast as possible so you can qualify for Beachbody’s customer lead generation program, but don’t worry or get discouraged if you’re not able to get to Emerald right away. It took me a little over six months to finally get to Emerald, but I could of been there much sooner had I known what I am about to explain to you.
All you need to do to reach Emerald status is sign up 2 other “active” Coaches. Being “active” just means that they have earned 50 personal volume points for the month. It is likely that you will sponsor people that never end up buying or selling anything, meaning they are “unactive”. You don’t want to waste your trying to sponsor a ton of people that end up never doing anything, you just need to find a few that are motivated, understand the business, and are already using a Beachbody product.
A good strategy for finding 2 active Beachbody Coaches is to first acquire 2 Shakelogy customers. Since you’re drinking Shakeology yourself (or at least you should be), tell others about it and spread the word. All you need to do is find 2 Shakeology customers, then show them how it is actually cheaper to purchase Shakeology as Beachbody Coach. They will have to pay $39.95 start up fee to become a Coach, but with the 25% discount they get they will save money in the long run. Now, with 2 personally sponsored Coaches, you’re Emerald and able to receive free customer leads from Beachbody. You will receive a commission anytime one of these leads buys something from teambeachbody.com and these are also leads that you can contact and and inform about Shakeology and other Beachbody products. The leads are also great prospects to convert into new Beachbody Coaches, they are already familar with Beachbody and have purchased a workout.
Signing up a spouse, sibling, or good friend is also a great way to reach Emerald status as soon as possible. If they don’t want Shakeology, you can purchase the sample packs in their account and give them away as a free sample to potential new customers. While this may seem expensive, if you do the math, you only need to generate 3 new customers each month from your free sample giveaways to break even for the month, and if those customers order on home direct (hd) you will be in profit your second month. From a business perspective, Shakeology should be your top product to push. While it is great to be able to sell Beachbody’s workouts, it is still only a one time sale and a one time commission. A P90x sale will earn a $30 commission for a Beachbody Coach, but a Shakeology sale on home direct (ordering on home direct saves the customer $10/mth on shipping) will earn earn a $30 commission every month, or $360 a year, just from one customer. So you can see how making a Shakeology sale can be much more valuable than selling on of the workout programs.
Signing up friends and family members is a great way to get started as a Beachbody Coach. It will help you reach Emerald status fast and they will also be in a great position in your organization so when you sponsor new Coaches in the future, they also fall under those who are close to you, benefiting them as well.
