Crazy week at work…here’s my review of Day 8 of the Beachbody Ultimate Reset.
My meals for Day 8 consisted of the following:
Breakfast – Miso Soup (1 serving), Avocado (1/4 sliced), Chickpeas Mashed w/Olive Oil (1/2 cup), Nori Gomasio (1 serving)
I wasn’t a big fan of this breakfast meal. The idea of eating soup and chickpeas for breakfast is not for me to begin with. As I ate the meal, the idea became less for me…haha. As far as preparing this meal, I didn’t abide by the ingredients list and bought uncooked chickpeas…bad idea. Cooking the bagged chickpeas took nearly 3 hours. Although I am becoming more open to cooking as the Reset progresses, I’d rather not spend 3 hours making a meal especially one that I didn’t really care for.
Lunch – Pinto Beans and Rice (1 serving), Microgreen Salad, Creamy Garlic Dressing
Dinner – Sweet Potato and Roasted Red Pepper Bisque, Asparagus 91 cup)
The bisque was very good, but took a little time to prepare. I think this is the second serving of asparagus on the Ultimate Reset and I’m trying to acquire a taste for it, but it’s not happening.
Supplements for Day 9:
This was the second day of drinking the Detox. IMO, the Detox isn’t as bad as the Alkalinize. For some reason, I’m still struggling to get the Alkalinize down.
Thoughts after Day 9:
9 days down, 12 to go!!! I don’t know about the rest of you, but when I’m on a diet, etc, it seems as though the days and weeks go by much slower than when I’m not. It seems like I’ve been on the Reset for weeks, when in reality, it’s only been 9 days. If I had to rank the days so far from 1 to 9, I would probably rank Day 9 as “9.” Although I did like the lunch and dinner meals for Day 9, there was no fruit.
My hunger levels have somewhat decreased and fortunately, I haven’t really experienced any headaches so that is a positive of the Ultimate Reset.
I will post my review of Day 10 this afternoon.
