Ultimate Reset Day 6 Review

Yesterday was Day 6 of the the Beachbody Ultimate Reset, here’s my review.

MEALS:

BREAKFAST – Baked Tempeh (3), Whole-Grain Toast (1 slice), Avocado (1/8 sliced), Kale (1/2 cup)

LUNCH –  Quinoa Salad, Microgreen Salad, Basic Vinaigrette Dressing

SNACK – Edamame (1 cup)

DINNER – Root Medley, Zucchini-Cashew Soup (1/2 serving), Brown Rice (1 cup) (substituted for millet)

Opposite of Day 5, I didn’t like much on yesterday’s menu. The Tempeh was kinda blah, the Root Medley was not my thing, and I didn’t care for the Zucchini soup (I don’t like zucchini). Other than that, the food for Day 5 was great…lol. I substituted Brown Rice for Millet because I forgot to grab it when I went to Whole Foods. Also, I changed up the snack (normally a green apple) as I love Edamame!!!

SUPPLEMENTS (same for each day of week 1):

MINERALIZE – 4 pinches

OXYGENIZE – 30-45 drops

OPTIMIZE – 6 capsules

ALKALINIZE – 1 packet

Different day, same opinion of the Alkalinize…nasty!

THOUGHTS AFTER DAY 6:

So there is good news and bad news. The bad news is I finally gave in and drank a Diet Mtn Dew. I know, I know, I shouldn’t have done it, but I did and to be honest, I didn’t really like it as much as usual. I do like a lot of the food in this Reset so far, but I think some of it lends itself to having a soda craving, at least for me (if that makes sense). I will get back on the train today and deny myself diet soda!

Now for the good news. I decided to get on the scale this morning and I’m down to 249!!! So, in the 1st six days of the Ultimate Reset, I’ve lost 9 lbs! As I stated in my goals section, losing weight is not my main goal in the program, but it is nice to see results in a quantifiable fashion such as weight loss.

As far as my hunger level today, it was the “easiest” day so far in terms of not being hungry throughout the day. I admit that weekends are the toughest for me to eat healthy because I like to lounge around and watch sports on TV which makes me want to eat Chipotle, etc, but I didn’t crave it yesterday so hopefully this is a good sign going forward.

My energy level was better yesterday…hoping this continues as well.

GOALS (Reiterated):

1) Although losing weight is not my main goal of the Reset, I would like to lose 15 lbs after the 21st day and get down to 243. I will do a one-week weight check tomorrow, but as of the morning of Day 6, I’m down 9 lbs!!!

2) My main goal is to get my body in a better “state” after 21 days as I hope to start INSANITY after finishing the Reset. I tired INSANITY before, but I was in such terrible shape, I only last about 5 days. I’m hoping that after completing this Reset, my body will be better able to handle the INSANITY workouts.

3) After the 21 days are complete, I hope to actually enjoy cooking and I hope to have gained a liking for 4-5 meals that are included in the Reset that I can make on a regular basis. So far, through 3 days, I will say my favorite meals have been the Oatmeal & Yogurt as part of breakfast of Day 2 as well as the Day 2 Dinner of Black Beans & Rice. I will definitely eat these meals post-Reset.
